I come from ancient desert city, Abarkuh. City of the Silk Road and known for its 4,500-year-old cypress tree. Cypress was brought from heaven by Zoroaster to King Kiani and he planted next to the nearest fire temple as a sign of loyalty to Zoroastrianism. In addition, there is a pattern inspired by this tree called Bute or Buta. Bute, a cypress motif, a sign of humility. That has always been of interest in the history of traditional arts, and is used to adorn all kinds of handicrafts, especially rugs, tiles, pottery, shawl weaving, and textiles. And it’s like a cypress whose upper branches have moved in the wind. That’s why I named the collection of dresses for special occasions Violet Cypress.
